When Asked
Yes was asked to join the B&W Minst. after 7 week run in a pantomime in Liverpool in 60’s was in for just over a year.When only four years old sang for my family at a Christmas celebration, remember because after asking me I asked to sing in the back sitting room while the record player played in the middle sitting room and sang to it. Think I was nervous. My family clapped heartily

When Asked
Sixteen years later was singing professionally. After an interview with our CO on being asked what did I want to do in civilian life, at the end of my three year service time in HM Royal Air Force, instinctivily responded to be an Opera singer, had of course been in the main camp All Saints choir but not consciously decided to try to go into opera. |
